Ice Cream!

ever wanted to make ice cream at home? is the cost of a fancy ice cream maker keeping you down? not with this recipe!

  • you will need: sweetened condensed milk, heavy heavy whipping cream (or heavy), vanilla extract, sea salt, and a big bowl (freezer safe)
  • first, you'll need to whip your cream. add 2 cups (16 ounces) of your cream to your big prechilled bowl. the time can vary depending on a few factors, but it is complete when the whip is light, airy, and can be whipped upwards without falling over. if you're concerned about this step, pre whipped cream can be used here, just not from spray can.
  • next, combine yourvother ingredients. the entire can of sweetened condensed milk, 2 teaspoons (0.3 ounces) of your vanilla, 1/4 tea spoon (0.04 ounces) of your sea sat in a seperate container from your whip until everything is incorporated.
  • once done, slowly pour this wet mix into your whip. don't worry about air bubbles. ice cream is actually 50% air. the more air the softer the serve. then kneed them together. if you've ever been to cold stone think like that. not traditional mixing. after this, your mixture will need to be chilled with a hermetic seal for atleast 6 hours to overnight. afterwords, it's ready to serve! (optional) since the ice cream is vanilla base, you can add chocolate syrup, strawberry jam, or similar viscus flavorings to change the flavor.
